Personality and some more info:Chi'yo is grumpy, impatient and short-tempered. He's the type to punch first and ask questions later. He hates being lied to or played around with - explaining things to him has to be short and straight to the point. He doesn't like people who are pompous or overly smug and never holds back at clapping back whenever someone tries to sass him. He also really doesn't like people, who are overly clingy and don't respect personal boundaries. He gets easily flustered and pouty whenever someone compliments him or when flirted with. He won't say it out loud, but seeing him as an authority and looking up to him will make him feel giddy inside. Despite being grumpy and hard to approach, he can be really affectionate to those he cares about. He has a strange obsession with anything Paissa-themed. Not to the point of putting it all over his house, but he still loves being gifted objects inspired by this silly creature.A "short" history:Chi'yo was born as Chi'a to a Keeper couple from Black Shroud. His mother - Chi Maimhov - was one of the best rogue poachers in the forests and naturally had just as many enemies as allies, even among her own family.
Chi'yo's father - Yohah'to Bajhiri - was an unlikely Keeper, who willingly married the woman he loved and wished to remain by her side to help her raise their child. Something that also antagonized him among his fellow male wanderers.Unfortunately, Chi was assassinated by a fellow Maimhov family member less than two years after her son's birth. Heartbroken Yohah'to, aware of potentially being the next target, decided to flee with his baby boy as far away from the Black Shroud as possible. He managed to sneak onto a trading carriage on the way to Ul'dah and ended up in an unfamiliar desert land, where he settled in a small village among many other refugees of different backgrounds.Shortly after Chi'a reached the age of 10, his father perished in combat during one of his mercenary jobs. The fully orphaned Miqo'te boy faced the possibility of growing up completely alone, until an old couple of Hyur neighbours decided to take care of him as their own - a truly challenging task. At that time, Chi'a also changed his name to Chi'yo - to incorporate both of his parents into it.Chi'yo grew up as a rascal, lurking on the streets of Ul'dah and pickpocketing rich merchants to survive among the other refugees. Around the age of 14, he witnessed his Midlander friend being kidnapped in the middle of the day by an upper-class slave owner. Worried and frustrated by his own inability to save the girl, Chi'yo promised himself to find and save her one day. One of his neighbours - a veteran pugilist Highlander by the name of Raginmund - agreed to train him, seeing the boy's potential and determination. He spent several years shaping the young Miqo'te up into a fighter.Chi'yo eventually met his Midlander friend again at the age of 18. He found out her "kidnapping" was staged and she was actually sold by her family for a large sum. Despite the horrible circumstances, the young woman explained she actually had a good life with her new wealthy caretakers, was able to receive proper education and was engaged to a merchant, who would shower her with gifts. Chi'yo was even more frustrated by this revelation and still insisted on taking the girl away from her current life, even trying to assault her betrothed. Instead, he was yelled at and told to move on from her, as she shouldn't be seen around "street rats" of his kind. The next several years Chi'yo spent in a downspiral, becoming a mercenary and thief on the streets of Ul'dah. The law had no meaning for him and he was perfectly content spending the rest of his life as a petty criminal. During the Seventh Umbral Calamity, his Echo awakened and gave him painful visions he did not understand. He tried to brush it off and continue on his criminal work, especially since Ul'dah was in a vulnerable state after the calamity. But deep inside he wanted to uncover what the voices in his head mean and possibly find out his new destiny. One faithful afternoon, 26 years old Chi'yo was drinking at The Coffer & Coffin with his fellow mercenaries, when he met a peculiar looking fellow with black scales growing out of his skin. The dragon-like man approached the Miqo'te and insisted on "seeing his Nhaama" in his eyes. Needless to say there was a big bar-fight in the establishment that day, as Chi'yo didn't appreciate this uncomfortable interaction.
However, the two met several times after this unfortunate encounter. Each time Naoki - the unfortunately flirty Xaela man - tried to convince Chi'yo to join him as an adventurer. Even though he continously (and aggressively) declined the offer, Chi'yo felt like becoming an adventurer and the strange visions in his head could be connected.Eventually, Chi'yo decided to give adventuring a try. Reluctantly, he approached Naoki and with his advice he took up a proper training at the Pugilist guild of Ul'dah and registered himself in the Adventurer's Guild led by Momodi.Relationships:

◆ Nickname: Dion ◆
◆ Pronouns: he/him ◆
◆ Sexuality: pansexual ◆
◆ Relationship: taken ◆
◆ Main Job: Pathcarver (Warrior) ◆
◆ Familiar: Paissa Brat ◆
◆ Status: Sundered ◆
Personality and some more info:Dionysus was known for being more eccentric among his peers. He enjoyed lavish lifestyle, attending parties, engaging in gossip and openly flirting. This lifestyle only made more eyebrows raise, when Dionysus was chosen as one of the next candidates for the Seat of Azem, as he did not seem fitting for the position of a traveler. It's no secret Dion's favourite drink was wine from the finest grapes. It just so happened, that the best kind was found growing at the base of an active volcano. Rumours across the Ancient cities were that the Azem personally stepped in to stop the destructive eruption only because it put his beloved beverage at risk.Dion was also known for being surprisingly silly and unpredictable. Despite his seemingly poised and elegant nature, he loved to see ridiculous creations and always laughed at Helios' coming up with the weirdest creatures just to upset their friend Hades.
His own familiar was designed as a joke, when he imagined a combination of a feline and a bulbous onion.Dionysus' known shards:◆ The Source: Chi'yo Usui ◆
◆ The First: Ardbert Hylfyst ◆
◆ The Thirteenth: Durante (later Golbez) ◆A "short" history:Dionysus was one of the candidates selected as the next Seat of Azem in the Convocation. He was brought as a choice by his friend Hades, who was selected as the Seat of Emet-Selch.
After being evaluated by Venat - the previous Azem - Dion was initially rejected by her for his lifestyle and personality contradicting with the values represented by the Seat of Azem. However, Dionysus ultimately managed to "win" in a tie with Venat's favoured candidate - Helios. After a lot of back-and-forth, Dionysus and Helios ended up getting selected as the two new Azems for the first time in the Convocation's history. They were meant to work together and use their differences for their mutual advantage. The only problem was that Dion and Helios had very contrasting personalities and did not get along at all for the first months of their collaboration.Dionysus hated travelling and sightseeing. He did not understand the beauty of the world around and wished to stay in the office - preferably with a bottle of his favourite wine. Helios was the one dragging him around on expeditions, showing him the sights and excessively rambling about everything they discovered.
Initially frustrated, Dion started to oddly enjoy the travels and often found himself lost in thought while sightseeing. He grew to like Helios talking his ear off and realized surprised that he started to develop genuine feelings of appreciation and adoration for his co-Azem.Not even a year since their selection as the Azems, Dionysus and Helios were practically inseparable. Even Venat started to see their mutual love for each other and changed her view of Dionysus into a more fond one.
However, despite their deep love and closeness, Dion and Helios still had opposing views on some matters. When the Etheirys started to get slowly consumed by the Final Days, the Convocation made an extremely unethical decision of sacrificing one of theirs as well as half of their world's population to summon Zodiark.
Dionysus thought it could be a solid plan, but Helios absolutely opposed it. Their fight on the subject caused the Seat of Azem to "collapse" into disarray. Both of the men vacated the position and left the Convocation.Dionysus and Helios reunited later, after both of them saw the chaos and massacre caused by their former colleagues. Dion realized his error and apologized to his lover for doubting him.
They spent the rest of the Final Days trying to help the people outside of the cities, fighting off as many of the beasts as they could.
Realizing their world is beyond saving, the two returned to the city to share their last moments with each other. They were sundered holding each other close and smiling, promising to find one another in every new lifetime.Relationships:

Personality and some more info:Viri is loud, rambunctious and unable to sit down in place for more than 2 minutes. He wants to be everywhere at the same time and is always ready to cause trouble. He doesn't take life too seriously and is easy to befriend with a pint of beer.He hates people being condescending and infantilizing towards him. As soon as people start treating him as younger than he is, he cuts them off of his life and pretends they don't exist. He has no time to deal with weirdos. He easily gets along with people, who share his sense of humour and aren't acting like overbearing parents around him. He loves shenanigans and if you're ready to stirr some shit with him, he will be happy to have you tag along.Viri can be a bit of a perv and never holds back with innuendos. He likes women in all shapes and sizes, but especially those who play along with his teasing. And if a girl can handle her booze? That's a perfect woman right there. He's always wearing some kind of headwear. Caps are his signature piece of wardrobe.A "short" history:Virimu is a middle child from a rather traditionalist family from Gridania. Following his parents' expectations, he was supposed to perfect archery and join the Order of the Twin Adder - something that would especially bring honor to the family during and shortly after the Seventh Umbral Calamity, when new soldiers were much needed.
Except Viri always hated following orders and abiding the law. He never agreed with religiously worshipping the Elementals and found it idiotic to put some ancient tree spirits over the people.Although Virimu eventually picked up archery, he hated it and wished to find any other form of combat he could master. Inspired by his rebellious older sister, who disobeyed her parents' matchmaking plans for her and became a mercenary lancer, he was constantly causing trouble and proving difficult to his superiors. So much so, he was rejected from the Twin Adder ranks on several occassions - just as he wished.Exhausted with their essentially-unemployed troublemaker son, Perimu and Manini gave him an ultimatum. He was to either stop this madness and become a law-abiding citizen with a proper archery training, or leave the house and join the other "social rejects" living in the forest and caves.
Heartbreaking as the choice was, Viri had no intention following his parents' expectations and left the family to be on his own.For the next two years, Virimu was mostly sleeping around - often with the girls he met in taverns, doing odd jobs using his basic archery skills and trying to find his life's goal.
Around that time his Echo started to awaken, filling his head with strange visions and painful headaches. Viri tried to silence it with alcohol and his usual shenanigans, but he couldn't shake off the feeling, like he needs to listen to the strange voice. At the age of 23, after thinking his life choices through, Virimu decided to give adventuring a try. It wasn't as noble as serving under the Gridanian order, but it felt like an honest and exciting job he could brag about to his family.
During one of his first journeys across Eorzea, he met Naoki and his company of misfits. He was surprised how easily they accepted him to tag along and felt like he found his new family. That's also when he discovered the Rogues' guild in Limsa Lominsa and finally found the form of combat he wholeheartedly loved.Relationships:

◆ Sexuality: pansexual ◆
◆ Relationship: single ◆
◆ Main Job: Protector (Dark Knight) ◆
◆ Familiar: Peiste ◆
◆ Status: Sundered ◆
Personality and some more info:Priapus was known for his loud and boisterous personality. He was always very forward and direct, making his more reserved colleagues uncomfortable. He respected boundaries if someone clearly established them, but wasn't good at reading the room by himself and often made sexual jokes in the open.He wasn't big on intellectual debates, which made him stand out in the general Ancient society. When everyone else enjoyed to spend their free time discussing current political situation and scientific advancements, Priapus was a man of simple pleasures. If he didn't have a company for the night, he was often seen drinking his own home-brew mead. And yet no one has ever seen him drunk to the point of no control of himself. His inability to get intoxicated was a result of rigorous training as a Pandaemonium guard. He was one of the first-responders in case of a crisis deep in the facility. Many beasts kept there were diabolically poisonous and Priapus magically enhanced himself for decades to prevent getting harmed by venomous creations.Priapus' known shards:◆ The Source: Virimu Toyarimu ◆A "short" history:Priapus was a guard deep within the halls of Pandaemonium. His job was to step in when the studied creations kept there would get out of control and the Warders needed aid. It was a brutal and unforgiving job, but one Priapus was pefectly made for.He was not a scholar and couldn't land any comfortable positions in one of the Amaurot bureaus, but his strength and brute nature didn't go unnoticed for long.
When the Pandaemonium was taken over by Lahabrea, Priapus was scouted by the 12th Seat himself and brought deep into the facility to maintain order. He didn't understand the nature of his assignment at first and was surprised with the horrifying variety of creations stored in the dungeons there. He grew used to it rather quickly, though, as he enjoyed to be challenged in combat and finally no one looked down on him for not being an intellectual like everyone around.During the Final Days, he was considered to be one of the first sacrifices for the Zodiark. However, he was spared the fate by the Lahabrea himself who considered him a "valuable muscle power" to deal with the beasts and later help with labour efforts to restore their cities to normal. Unfortunately, the Convocation didn't consider family connections and unbeknownst to Priapus, his family living in a small settlement on the countryside was sacrificed for Zodiark along with many others he knew.Heartbroken and empty, Priapus spent the rest of the Final Days mindlessly killing the beasts until exhaustion. He managed to keep himself alive long enough to get sundered by Hydaelyn.Relationships:

Personality and some more info:Despite his somewhat menacing look, Kenji is a polite and honest young man. Out of respect to others, he has a habit of referring to them by their last name - even people he knows for a long time and considers friends. He can be a little slow with flirts and innuendos, often misunderstanding people's intentions and not reacting to something quick enough (or at all). He's also not the best with romantic interactions - both giving and receiving.Kenji has zero tolerance for liars and people, who hurt those weaker than them. He's always ready to "be a hero" and jump in to defend those in need, not waiting to find out if they actually need help. Many times his menacing appearance was enough to stop a conflict from further escalation - something that served him well back in Kugane. He has a strange fondness for anything small and adorable - especially Loporrits. He may or may not have smuggled at least one of them back to Etheirys.Kenji has an incredible appetite, something he developed growing on the steppe as a warrior in need of sustenance. His meals have to be hearty and fulfilling, his portions big and the food warm. He also strongly believes food can be a cure for any ailment.A "short" history:Khagatai was born on the Azim Steppe as the second son of Tuguslar and Bayarmaa from the Chongol clan (fanmade). His parents decided to abandon travelling with the rest of the tribe and settle down to raise the boys in a proper household.
Unfortunately, both of the parents died tragically after facing Girimekhala - a monstrous steppe mammoth. Orphaned and with no way to reach the rest of the clan, 2 years old Khagatai and his older brother Naranbaatar had to aimlessly wander the steppe in hopes of survival and a new home.
The boys were eventually found by the patrolling Oroniri warriors and brought before the Khan, who judged them as "tough and resilient for their age" and allowed them to stay with the rest of the Oronir clan.Khagatai and his brother grew up training with the rest of the Oroniri youth and later with the Buduga boys as well. They've become particularly attached to a slightly older "brother Magnai", following him around and bothering him in a true "little brother" way.
Initially grumpy about it, Magnai grew to really care about the two and always enjoyed impressing them with his feats in combat. As the years went by, Khagatai's older brother started becoming more rebellious and longing to see the world beyond the Azim Steppe. Khagatai himself couldn't imagine living anywhere else and didn't want to leave the Oronir, who were as a family to him.
Naranbaatar respected his brother's decision and left the steppe alone, leaving Khagatai with the rest of the tribe and promising to write letters.Khagatai stayed on the steppe for the next 5-6 years, longing to see his brother again and growing more curious about the outside world as well. It didn't help, that his Echo started awakening around that time and strange visions started haunting him. Finally, he left the Azim Steppe at the age of 24 and found his way to Kugane, where he adapted a more Hingan name - Kenji - and worked as a labourer for a few months to afford a ship travel fee to Limsa Lominsa in Eorzea. The place where his brother headed out years before, according to the hints given to him by some locals.During his time in Kugane, Kenji gained notoriety for his menacing appearance. Towering over most of the Hyuran men there and carrying a lance wherever he went, he was respected and often straight-up avoided by local troublemakers.
During his visit to one of the local tea houses, he witnessed a young Viera server being harassed by the patrons. Kenji managed to step in and de-escalate the situation without a bloodshed, for which he had the tea house owner's gratitude. The Viera, whose name was Usun, developed a fascination and crush on the Xaela man.
Kenji also met another Viera boy in the city - Kouki, who stuck to him like a glue and became fascinated with the idea of traveling to another continent. Finally, after a few months, Kenji had enough money to leave Kugane and find his brother in a truly foreign land of Eorzea. He landed in Limsa Lominsa along with Kouki and - after registering his name with the Adventurers' Guild - he sought out Naranbaatar (who also adapted a more Hingan name back in Kugane - Naoki) and agreed to join his little family of misfits.Relationships:
◆ Birth Name: Erasmos ◆

◆ Sexuality: asexual ◆
◆ Relationship: single ◆
◆ Main Job: Warder (Summoner) ◆
◆ Familiar: Bat ◆
◆ Status: Sundered ◆
Personality and some more info:Anxious and reserved, Erasmos was a complete opposite of his brother Helios, who happened to be one of the Azems. He enjoyed isolation and his own company most of the time, learning to adapt and solve his own problems without the need of asking for help.
Even so, he still felt lonely at times and found himself talking to the failed creations hidden away in the depths of Pandaemonium facility.Erasmos was a softie with a romantic soul. He enjoyed hiding away in the corner and writing poetry, often using it to express his deep and complex emotion he was otherwise unable to convey properly. He never openly admitted to it, but sometimes he'd anonymously send his poems to literary publishers in Amaurot.Helios was Erasmos' only family and main source of worry. The young warder would often get visited by his brother and hear about his work as the Seat of Azem. He enjoyed listening about the vast big world, places and cultures Helios visited with his partner; but he couldn't help worrying about his reckless brother getting in danger out there.Erasmos' known shards:◆ The Source: Kenji Usui/Khagatai Chongol ◆
◆ The Thirteenth: Boncompagno (Kenji's Avatar) ◆A "short" history:Erasmos was a young scholar, whose knowledge about creations earned him a position among the Words of Lahabrea. He became a warder of one of the Pandaemonium floors back when Chief Athena was still in charge and kept his position after Lahabrea himself took over the facility. He was stuck between Pandaemonium and Elpis, while his brother - Helios - was travelling all over Etheirys as the Azem. The two led completely different lifestyles, but still tried to maintain regular contact for a long time.
Sadly, Helios' visits started to become more rare with time and Erasmos often found himself worrying if something happened to his brother during one of his journeys. At times, Pandaemonium had visits from fellow scholars of Akadaemia Anyder. One such individual from the Words of Halmarut - young Achelois - became an unlikely "friend" to the meek and reserved warder.
The two didn't talk much beyond small talk about seemingly unimportant matters, but those gentle moments made Erasmos feel a little less lonely and distracted him from worrying about not seeing his brother for too long.During the Final Days, when Erasmos caught the rumours of Lahabrea and the rest of the Convocation hoping to summon Zodiark, he wanted to volunteer to sacrifice himself along with half the Etheirys population. He felt tired and scared, so the thought of sparing himself the horrors and saving others in the process filled him with hope and relief. However, his offer was rejected as his work for the Pandaemonium was considered too valuable.Erasmos spend the rest of the Final Days deep in the facility, trying to hold the creations from running amok.
He didn't get to see Helios in the end, but prayed with his entire soul he'd get to meet him again in another lifetime.Relationships:

Personality and some more info:Faar is a friendly, hopelessly romantic beam of sunshine. She can be a little immature for her age, but never in a harmful way. She's a playful girl, always looking for a new high surface to climb onto.Despite being sweet and seemingly innocent, Faar can be a little rough and curse like a sailor when things don't go her way. It's the effects of growing up with pirates and even though some people claim it's not very "ladylike", she has no intention to change it.Faar is a big foodie and it's rare to see her not chewing something. She isn't a picky eater and absolutely loves trying out new flavours and dishes. Her incredible appetite almost drove her father to bankrupcy once, but that's a story for another time. She tends to develop crushes on every attractive person she meets - the curse of bisexuality. She tries not to act on it and respect people's boundaries, but she still likes to be playfully flirty and clingy to those, who are comfortable with her.A "short" history:[This part of the story is unknown to Faar and very likely never will be.]
Faar's mother - Tyago Jinhahl - was kidnapped and brought to Kugane as a teenage girl. She was to work in one of the exclusive Inns as a girl for company, something that brought her popularity among the patrons for her cute "exotic" looks and somewhat feisty personality, uncommon for Hingan women.
Tyago was "untouchable" and never let any of the clients go too far with her. Instead, she ended up in a problematic secret relationship with the son of the establishmen owner she worked for - broody and cold Ranmaru. He was strict and distant, wanting to prove his worth to his father and inherit the family business. But even he couldn't resist the charms of the fiery Miqo'te girl.Unfortunately, the affair resulted in a pregnancy. When Tyago shared the news with her lover, he got furious and terrified. Knowing this would ruin the family's reputation, he threatened the Miqo'te woman to get rid of the child or face death.
Heartbroken, Tyago ran away and found a hideout in the waterways below Kugane. With the help and support of the local rogues living there, she managed to carry the pregnancy to term and gave birth to a Miqo'te baby girl.
Unfortunately, someone let Ranmaru know about Tyago and the baby still being alive and well in the city. He started sniffing around for her and sending his father's men to find and kill her, accusing her of stealing money from the establishment and running away. Tyago knew it's only a matter of days before they find her and the baby, so she decided to take it up to fate. One night she snuck around to the pier and sent her daughter adrift in a small boat before running away to the Ruby Sea, hoping to find a new home somewhere. Her later fate is unknown.
[The rest is a story known to Faar.]Fortune had it, Captain Vin Valentino and his pirate crew were travelling close to Kugane when they spotted a baby adrift in the middle of the sea. Captain rescued the Miqo'te girl and figured she could be valuable if they traded her back in Limsa.
However, both Vin and his crew quickly grew attached to the baby and started treating her as a part of the crew, before they even reached the city. Captain Valentino named the girl "Faar" as a playful reference to finding her "far away from home" and adopted her.The next 18 years Faar spent with her new pirate family, travelling across the seas or taking a break in Limsa Lominsa, where she played with her many friends - particularly Sicard and V'kebbe. She couldn't imagine a different life and thought she will one day inherit her father's ship and lead the crew on her own.
Unfortunately, once Merlwyb Bloefhiswyn became admiral and started tightening the pirate laws around the city, Captain Valentino did not want to abide them and refused to become "a good little merchant". Being more of a wild and unpredictable pirate, he got into a conflict with Merlwyb and after facing the threat of being locked down and stripped off of his ship and titles, he decided to abandon Limsa and swim away with his crew to live as a wild pirate on the run.Initially, Faar insisted on going with her father. Vin, however, knew very well the lifestyle of a criminal pirate on the run does not suit his sweet daughter, who loved Limsa and had many friends on land. He also knew about her strange gift of visions (the Echo) and felt like the girl is made for something greater than being a nobody on the sea.
Captain Valentino convinced Faar to stay in Limsa and become an adventurer, so that she could spread terryfing stories about them and explore the world without fear of being caught. Heartbroken, Faar accepted her father's choice and watched as the crew disappeared on the horizon in the middle of night. The next few years, Faar spent as an amateur adventurer. She temporarily joined the Rogue's guild and trained under Jacke Swallow, but dropped it once she met the Troupe Falsiam and learned about the art of a Dancer.
Finally, at the age of 21, she registered herself properly in the Adventurer's Guild, which led her to Riol and Y'Shtola Rhul. The two found out about her Echo and got her associated with the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, which eventually allowed her to meet Naoki and his merry band of misfits.Relationships:

◆ The First: Dulia-Chai Mewlah ◆A "short" history:Euphemia joined the Elpis researchers very young and quickly proved to be thorough and dedicated in her work as a botanist. Her hard work and determination to earn her older colleagues' respect paid off and only after a year in Elpis she was already working directly under Chief Hermes.
When she wasn't deep in her research at Ktisis Hyperboreia, she was overseeing the plants growing all across the floating isles of Elpis. She was always a busy bee and couldn't sit in one place for long.As the time went by, she grew more friendly with Chief Hermes and would often scold him about not having a proper meal during the day. She was one of the few, who could see his troubled mental state and while she made attempts to cheer him up every now and then, it never truly brought any lasting effects. When the Emet-Selch of the Convocation showed up in their facility, Euphemia got to see strange "familiars" following him around Elpis. She even managed to exchange a few words with them and found them really bizarre. She didn't think about it much, though, as she was already familiar with the concept of humanoid creations such as Meteion.
However, she later noticed the shift in Chief Hermes' behaviour and the strange guests being involved with it. Initially, she wanted to investigate, but before she got the chance to do so, the incident at Ktisis Hyperboreia occurred and Kairos caused her to forget about it.After Chief Hermes left Elpis and joined the Convocation, Euphemia tried to be proud of him, but she couldn't help being worried about his already troubled mental state. She also felt like she lost a close friend, but still worked hard to maintain her position on Elpis to make him proud.During the Final Days, she did her best to help those harmed by the beasts with her healing magics. She still tried to use her infectious positivity to cheer others up and distract them from the horrors happening around them.Relationships:

Personality and some more info:Deu is a tall and lanky "noodle", with an affinity to showing his skin in every outfit he wears. His wardrobe is filled to the brims with crop tops for every occasion.
Despite that, he avoids physical contact as much as possible. He absolutely hates being touched without consent and has an issue with overly clingy people.Deu loves joking and messing around, usually with his "brother" Kouki who he pulls into shenanigans. He's often not taken seriously and underestimated - something he loves to use against people by proving what he's capable of.Deu is farsighted, which unironically helps him with his job as a Machinist. He is perfectly capable of sniping far-away targets and as a young Rogue Viera, he used to throw his knives a lot into the enemies instead of cutting and slicing them.Deu has a surprising natural talent for technology and tech-related science. He spends a lot of time in the Skysteel Manufactory in Ishgard, where he helped develop many upgrades to the Machinist weapons over the years. In general, he's a genius on the spectrum, with an affinity for anything tech and science-related. He pursues innovation both for his work as a Machinist and for everyday life of his Guild.A "short" history:[TW: contains mentions of sexual assault]
Yrjan was born in one of the Veena villages of the mountainous Skatay Range. His mother - Ysera Bosco - was a leatherworker and carpenter of her village, happily teaching her child the basics of the craft during their years together.
At the age of 13, Yrjan started developing more masculine features and was identified as a jack, meaning he had to leave the village with his new Wood-warder and live the life of solitude. It was a very difficult time for both Yrjan and his mother, who didn't want to separate from her only child. For the next several years of living in the wilderness as a young Rogue with his master, Yrjan often disobeyed the rules and snuck around the village to leave messages for his mom. They kept this sneaky communication a secret, until one of the village Viera women spotted Yrjan nearby and raised an alarm in fear of a "rogue male" trying to sneak in. In fear of being caught and severly punished, Yrjan decided to abandon the correspondence with his mother and returned to the woods. As the years passed, Yrjan grew significantly, but still kept a more lean body type. He noticed his Wood-warder treating him a little differently and becoming more invasive into his private space. At first Yrjan assumed it's a normal behaviour for Viera males, especially with the hormones going wild in his body. Unfortunately, the master he trusted with his life decided to show his true face and started Yrjan's hell by regularly harassing and sometimes straight-up assaulting him. This went on for several weeks, then months, until Yrjan's mental state was in shambles. Everything inside of him screamed that this isn't right, but at the same time he wanted to trust his highly-respected master. It got to the point, where Yrjan was ready to end his own life in order to get away from it.
One night, as the Wood-warder tried to put his hands on his ward, something snapped within the young Veena. In a complete desperate frenzy, he murdered his master by frantically stabbing him and mutilating his corpse with his daggers.
After realizing what happened, Yrjan fled in fear and shame, scared of being accused of killing his own Wood-warder. He ran away as far as he could, wandering aimlessly around south-eastern Othard. At one point, Yrjan managed to reach the outskirts of Doma, where he met another runaway Viera - a young Rava boy named Rauor. Out of familiarity, the two decided to stick together for a while. Although Rauor's clingy nature didn't work well with Yrjan's aversion to physical contact, especially after his experiences with the Wood-warder.
Eventually, the two warmed up and started treating each other as brothers. They spent several months together, before Rauor found a way to reach the city of Kugane and the two parted ways. Yrjan wasn't ready to go among crowds of people and left to explore the wild regions some more. While wandering alone again, Yrjan stumbled upon a peculiar expedition exploring historical and mystical sites in eastern Othard. Leading the expedition was a young Elezen woman - Finia Thalas, who became fascinated with the Viera man and insisted on taking him back with her to Ishgard. Although Yrjan protested at first, not knowing what the strangers want due to the language barrier, he couldn't help being curious about all the metal thingamajigs the expedition had as their equipment. Hoping to learn more about it, he joined them on the aircraft and left Othard behind. The first months in Ishgard were a great culture shock to the young Veena. He quickly acclimatized to the cold and snowy environment, reminiscing about his early life on the Skatay Range. Finia's father - a scholar named Antoinaux - happily accepted the boy into his household and did whatever he could to help him settle down in this foreign land.
Despite the language barrier, Yrjan grew to weirdly love the cold city and adapted a name "Deucalion" to make it easier for Ishgardians to pronounce. He also started visiting the Skysteel Manufactory and quickly became a regular, surprising everyone with how easily he was catching on with the tech-science.
Stephanivien, impressed with the boy's enthusiasm, offered to try him out for a Machinist training. Deu succeeded beyond all expectations and soon joined the ranks of Ishgardian Machinists officially, with his very own gun.At the age of 22, being able to speak a broken Ishgardian-Eorzean with a strong Viera (Icelandic) accent, Deu was treated almost as a rightful citizen and formed a handful of friendships. As the Dragonsong War reached its peak, his Echo started awakening and showing him troublesome visions. While helping around with fighting off the heretics around the city, Deu met a group of adventurers lead by Naoki.
Although Deucalion didn't want to leave his new home in Ishgard, he agreed to become an adventurer with his Machinist training and joined the group after the dust of the war has settled and he was no longer needed to stick around in the city. A while later he also found his old friend Rauor (now Kouki) traveling around Eorzea and brought him to the group as well.Relationships:

Personality and some more info:If Alexandros wasn't a respectable genius inventor, they'd be impossible to be around. They were cold, blunt and very judgmental. They never held back with their brutally honest statements and only cared about things, that could contribute to their research and creations. They hated having their precious time wasted.Despite their incredible intelligence and sharp observation skills, Alexandros was hiding a secret about their health. They carried a genetic defect that made them suffer from chronic memory loss. This was a serious obstacle for Alexandros in their pursuit for knowledge and greatness as an inventor.
They spent decades trying to find a cure for the illness, while enhancing their brain with magics and medicine.Alexandros wasn't just an inventor, as they also dabbled in architecture. Several buildings in the city of Amaurot were designed by them, including one research facility. In fact, Alexandros was fascinated by the idea of creating incredibly complex facilities, that would be fully mechanical and capable of movement. They spent several years of their life designing one such project and dubbed it "Alexander". They never actually got to see their beloved concept come to life due to the Final Days.Alexandros' known shards:◆ The Source: Deucalion Thalas ◆
◆ The Ninth: Calyx ◆A "short" history:Alexandros was considered a genius since the early years of their life. They would surprise their elders with complex debates and first creations long before they were mature enough to properly attend the studium.
It was quickly made clear young Alexandros has an unusually high level of intelligence, but severely lacks empathy and patience for dealing with others. They had a hard time working in groups and often pushed others away to finish the entire research alone, claiming others just slow them down.Because of their attitude, they had no friends or close colleagues in Amaurot. Other scholars and researchers exchanged polite and reserved greetings with them, but no one even tried to get closer, knowing it's a waste of time. Alexandros was just impossible to approach.Things changed a little, when Alexandros was promoted to a higher position as an innovator in Amaurot. As much as they preferred to work alone, the multitude of projects was too overwhelming even for them. They were forced to find an assistant and after a careful selection of potential candidates willing to deal with Alexandros' impossible personality, a young researched called Cassandra was chosen.Alexandros and Cassandra had a perfect work partnership. She was quiet and reserved, never bothering her supervisor with pointless questions or small talk. She was also loyal and fulfilled her duties without complaints. Alexandros quickly realized they can rely on their assistant with everything and began to exploit her a little by testing out their creations on her as a "willing subject".At one point in time, Alexandros was approached by Emet-Selch of the Convocation and offered to take over the Seat of Deudalaphon. They refused, claiming they have no intention to continue their research in a limited and controlled environment. They had no intention to work for the government and Emet-Selch's continous pestering only reassured them in this decision.Around that time, Alexandros' chronic memory loss started to show signs and filling them with doubt about rejecting the Convocation. They knew about the memory preservation for every member and while they dreaded the thought of someone else using their ideas and memories, the concept of storing one's mind in a crystal fascinated them and gave hope in finding a solution to their predicament. For the next several years, Alexandros was researching means of curing their memory loss by any means. They grew particularly obsessed with the concept of time - his biggest nemesis. It was the passage of time, slow decay of one's physical and mental state, that filled them with anxiety and determination to preserve their brilliant mind for as long as possible. Maybe even forever. The last big project of Alexandros was a creation, that would transfer their mind and soul into a highly advanced construct. They would abandon the weak and vulnerable body for a strong and technologically advanced one.
Of course, they couldn't risk testing it out on themselves in case of any mistakes. Luckily, they had a willing and loyal "test subject" available at all times - Cassandra.Shortly before the assistant's mind and soul was about to be ripped away from her body and forcefully shoved into a construct, the world plunged into absolute chaos. With fire raining from the sky and everyone around turning into monstrosities, Alexandros had no time to continue their project.
Desperate to preserve at least a fraction of their genius, they started to write down as many notes and journals as they could about their projects and designs - many of them later ended up scattered across the Shards. In the end, Alexandros was sundered along with the other Amaurotines.Relationships:

Personality and some more info:Ursulin is generally quiet and introverted. He prefers his own company and keeps social interaction at bare minimum necessary to everyday function. As a result of mistreatment as a Duskwight growing up in Gridania, he developed a distrust to others - particularly Wildwood Elezen or Hyurs.Ursulin emanates a rather depressing aura and isn't a particularly positive person. Most of the time he can be found brooding somewhere, preferably in a dark place. He likes to meditate in a complete silence when he feels overwhelmed and overstimulated after a busy day.Despite his negative and broody nature, Ursulin actually puts a lot of care into his personal hygiene and physical appearance. He will never be caught looking unkempt and loves stuffing his wardrobe with really fashionable outfits. If asked why he cares so much, he will always reply "I shall not be seen looking worse than a Wildwood bastard." and so far he managed to put even some Ishgardian nobles to shame. While officially a White Mage, Ursulin only carries the Job Stone as a little souvenir of sorts. After "gravely offending the Elementals" he became unable to commune with them. He's still trained as a Conjurer and is perfectly capable of using this type of magic. However, instead of using the nature's aether, Ursulin's only way of using his White Mage powers is to "borrrow" the aether from another living being. An exchange of life for life - with the scale of "sacrifice" depending on the injury he needs to heal. The tattoos Ursulin has on his body are aether markings, used to store the energy he absorbs from his "sacrifices". The enchanted ink glows brighter if he overloads himself with aether and Ursulin needs to convert the energy into either healing or offensive magic. Otherwise it brings him immense pain.A "short" history:
Ursulin was born to a poor couple of Duskwights living in the Twelveswood. Since he was a young lad, he was told to be wary of Gridania and its people due to their aversion to "outsiders". The parents dared not to set foot in the city, however Ursulin showed signs of strong magical abilities and ultimately was deemed worthy to study among the Conjurers of Gridania under the watchful eye of the Padjali teachers.Every morning Ursulin would travel to Gridania and face the harassment of the locals - both children and adults. He did his best to behave and not fall for their bait. To not offend anyone and incur the wrath of the Elementals, he would bow down his head to relentless bullying and cruel words of supposedly loving and welcoming people.
His only friends were fellow Duskwights and stray Keepers of the Moon - also "privileged" to live within the city walls. However, as the time passed, most of them gave up trying to stay quiet and left to live the life of petty criminals and poachers deep within the Black Shroud - a horrible life, yet felt safer and friendlier than being accepted by the folks of Gridania. Ursulin tried to persevere and bring pride to his parents as a Conjurer. At the age of 17, Ursulin became a target of a particularly persistent oppressor - a fellow Conjurer student of the Wildwood heritage by the name of Gaspard. The constant harassment would gradually go beyond just pushing around and calling names, as Gaspard and his fellows would grow more violent in their methods. Young Duskwight tried his best to smile and pretend nothing is happening. In a desperate attempt to get some peace, he tried to report the harassment to his elders only to be turned down and scolded for spreading lies. Needless to say - Gaspard also quickly found out about Ursulin trying to snitch on him and things were about to turn much worse. One faithful night, Ursulin was dragged out of his house by bandits paid by Gaspard. They brought him deep into the forest, so the oppressor could watch him being beat up really badly for his sick satisfcation. Thankfully, Ursulin decided not to just curl up and wait for his death. By using spells not taught by the Conjurers' Guild, he managed to defeat his opponents. Surprised, Gaspard threatened to run back to Gridania and let everyone know "that filthy Duskwight" uses dark magic to hurt people of the Twelveswood and offends the Elementals.
In fear of having his family banished from the Black Shroud and punished by the Elementals, Ursulin snapped and completely destroyed Gaspard with his twisted magic.Terrified, but also oddly thrilled about what he's done, Ursulin made a difficult decision to spare his parents more hate and banishment from their home. He ran away as far as his legs could carry him, with only what he had on him at that time. He managed to cross the border to Gyr Abania and hide there, knowing stepping back into the Twelveswood and Gridania would bring the wrath of the Elementals upon him.Ursulin found himself in the middle of a land consumed by a brutal civil war. He joined a small group of rebels and helped in the war efforts as a healer. He found his home in Ala Mhigo and stayed there for many years, using his strange amalgamation of White and Black Magic to aid the people who accepted him without question. During his life there, Ursulin's Echo awakened and brought a lot of confusion to this already traumatized man. Many years later, when Eorzean forces finally decided to join and help with the liberation of Ala Mhigo, Ursulin met not only the Scions, but also a group of adventurers led by a Wildwood woman - Cevilia. She found out about his "strange visions" from Conrad and offered him to join her Company, trying to explain the Echo to him as well. Ursulin continuously refused - both out of his resentment for Wildwood Elezen and his loyalty to Gyr Abania. Only after the war was over and Ala Mhigo was finally liberated, Ursulin mysteriously vanished from Rhalgr's Reach and found his way to Cevilia's Company with many questions.Relationships:

Personality and some more info:Rico is brash and likes to run head-first into trouble, confident in his abilities to get out of anything unscathed. He often had to get pulled out from the battlefield by his older colleagues, barely surviving. He is tough, though, and determined to push through at all cost.He has a bit of a complex with his height and often gets frustrated if reminded of it. He's on the smaller size for a Hrothgar and other soldiers in Bozja often teased him about it. Eventually, he figured out other advantages to his stature and learned how to be swift in combat.Rico spent most of his life in occupied Bozja and doesn't know many of the races, cultures and norms in Eorzea. He has a poor habit of calling Lalafell "dinner" and picking on non-Hrothgar races for being different, but always gets scolded by Lovro and the other fellow company members for that.In general, Rico has a bit of a difficult relationship with the members of the "Cucumber Family". He regularly picks fights with Chi'yo and bullies Faar out of jealousy over how close she's been with Lovro. Viri might've stabbed him a few times as a warning, just because of Rico's attitude towards the short Lalafellin race.
He insists Lovro should just leave with him to Bozja and claims he has no interest in befriending the others, but still makes an attempt to keep it civil when the medic asks him to stop causing trouble with his friends.A "short" history:Born and raised in Bozja - Rico has always been surrounded by occupation and war. He wounded his first Garlean as a young boy and ever since then he felt blood-lust for fighting against the Empire.
When his father was taken away to the ceruleum mines and died in Garlemald, Rico have sworn to avenge him and fight the imperials off of their land. His mother tried to keep him out of trouble, but couldn't handle the rebellious growing Hrothgar on her own.As a young adult, Rico found himself joining the resistance group in Bozja. Due to his younger age and reckless nature, he'd often get lectured for getting the group in trouble and risking everyone else's safety.
His actions also often ended up getting him injured and made him end up under Lovro's care. Getting scolded by the older comrade only made him grow closer to the medic and develop feelings beyond friendship.Eventually, Lovro was discharged from the resistance due to mental problems and before Rico knew it, his beloved doctor left Ilsabard to seek respite on a faraway Aldenard. Young Hrothgar was heartbroken and furious about this decision and vowed to forget about Lovro to focus on liberating his homeland from the Empire instead. To him leaving Bozja in the middle of a war was a betrayal.Eventually, after years of fighting and struggle, Bozjan Resistance managed to finally defeat the Imperial forces on their land with the help of Eorzean assistance. Lovro also happened to be with those "outsiders" which shocked Rico, but reignited his hope in his older friend wanting to return home.
Except Lovro left with his new comrades once the war was over and didn't stay to help with the restoration. This made Rico question his old friend's loyalty to their homeland. After a few years of being a pain in the ass to Bajsaljen and the others, Rico was sent away to take a break from restoration efforts (translate to "please, go away and let us work in peace"). He couldn't sit still and didn't want to admit he missed the war, because it was the only life he knew. After some internal fight with himself, he packed some basic necessities and left to Aldenard in search of Lovro, determined to bring him back home. His journey to Eorzea was less than fortunate, as it happened in the middle of an apocalyptic event known as the Final Days. When the sky was burning and people around were turning into monsters, Rico used any military skills he acquired over the years to survive and aid those around him. He pushed through despair with his brute force and recklessness, learning that there are more opportunities to fight and be useful other than war.Once he finally found his way to Eorzea and was able to locate Lovro's company, they already left for their next adventure in Tural. Frustrated about his entire journey being for naught, he decided to follow them to that foreign land and find his medic there. After all, he had a taste of adventuring by now...Relationships:
